Spontaneous Problem - HANDS-ON “Save the Stuffie” Spontaneous Problem - HANDS-ON “Save the Stuffie” Time: 8 minutes to build Build a device that will keep a stuffed animal or action figure safe when dropped from 3 feet. The object must not fall out of the device. Scoring: Protection • Creativity • Construction Materials needed: • One small stuffed animal or toy • Paper • Tape • Straws or sticks (optional)

Spontaneous Problem - COMBINATION “The Traveling Spontaneous Problem - COMBINATION “The Traveling Sock” Time: 3 minutes to plan 2 minutes to present Your team must create a character using one sock. That sock is traveling to a strange place. Your team must: • Build or decorate the sock • Create a short story about where it goes and what happens The sock must be used in the performance. Scoring: Creativity • Story • Use of the prop Materials needed: • 1 sock • Markers, paper, or tape (optional)

Spontaneous Practice Problem — VERBAL “Two Truths Spontaneous Practice Problem — VERBAL “Two Truths and a Lie… But Make It Weird” You will have 4 minutes to think and 1 minute to respond. The team will create: • Three statements about a mystery creature • Two must be true • One must be a lie The judge will guess which one is the lie. Scoring: • Creativity of the creature • How hard it is to guess the lie • Presentation
