Coaches, please join your NCOM Eastern Region board members for an informative webinar on preparation for the upcoming regional tournament! We will have a short presentation on the tournaments, and will have plenty of time for questions and answers at the end.

Randy Burton and Tom Bojanski hosted the call for coaches/coordinators across the state and provided information that teams need to be thinking about as they head into the holidays. Â
Randy Burton (Eastern Regional Director) and Tom Bojanski (NC Association Director) will host a Zoom call check-in for all NC Coaches and Coordinators on Monday, December 12 from 7:00pm – 8:00pm. During the meeting, Randy and Tom will provide suggestions on what teams should be working on as they head into the holidays. We will have ample time for Q&A.

We encourage all team members to attend the Spontaneous Fair as all team members will be able to participate in Spontaneous competitions this year!
K-2 teams may not understand or have the skills necessary to be successful in solving these problems. Instead of attending this event, a less intense method of exposing K-2 teams to spontaneous problem solving is encouraged.

In the Members Area, click on the “Tournament registration” link to start the tournament registration process
Tournament Registration Fees:
Early Bird registration is $115 (Deadline: December 24)
Full registration is $160 (after Dec. 24)
Primary problem teams – registration is $25
Final registration deadline: January 14
To successfully complete the registration process, you will need the following information:
Your membership name and number as they appear on your membership records
The email address to which you want any tournament information sent. Check this address regularly!
Your phone number
Names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses of additional coaches
Each team member’s name, and grade as of May 1, 2023
The School each team member is attending
You will receive an email confirmation of the team registration. Payment can be made online with a credit card or by mail, using a check. On the confirmation email, you will find the link for paying online as well as the address to which you should send payment if you are paying by check (make your check payable to NCOM Eastern Region).
Also in the confirmation email, you will find links to register your team provided judge and volunteer for the tournament. These links are provided below as well:

Registration is $10 per team member. There is no charge for adults.

Registration closes on Wednesday, November 9th. There will be no on-site registration at the fair!
There must be at least one adult on site with the team during the fair. Team members may split up into different sessions if you prefer to do so. There will be plenty of adult supervision so the adult from the team will not have to stay with all the team members all day.
Once you have registered and paid, you will be contacted via email with more details on the fair, and with an individual schedule for each of your team members for the day. Bring this schedule with you! Your team members will go straight to their first session when they arrive. There will be no on-site registration.
