Odyssey Inclusive

Odyssey of the Mind is adding a new type of problem this year.  The same Problem 1 through Problem 5 and Primary Problems are still offered as they have in the past.  We are adding a 7th problem called Odyssey Inclusive.

Odyssey Inclusive provides opportunities for everyone to learn and grow through participation in Odyssey of the Mind. Teams in OI consist of those who qualify (or adults who did qualify) for special education services per local, district and federal guidelines. Those without disabilities can also participate on an OI team, but at least 50% of the team members must qualify for special education services. The end result of teams working together is a performance of around 10 minutes showcasing teamwork, visual and performing arts, social skills, appropriate academic skills, and enthusiasm!

Odyssey of the Mind believes those with disabilities and those who are neurodiverse should have opportunities to showcase their creativity, problem solving, and talents. Odyssey Inclusive promotes access and equity for all students as well as supporting Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) and Multi-tiered System of Support (MTSS).
